Our Skills

Heather's knowledge skills in large food services, plus Mike's computer software knowledge engineering precision, and attention to detail equip Food Management to tackle any food service project, large or small.

An example was the Antarctica New Zealand project. The brief was to provide a list of provisions for Scott Base for one year, to produce a nutritionally balanced menu for Base staff.

Heather planned the 40 day menu and Mike designed and wrote a database system to build the menus from recipes and ingredients. The supplier's databases of ingredients was integrated into our system. A huge 12-month shopping list, with the supplier's codes was the result.

 

This system has since been used on subsequent projects.

In a customer satisfaction survey (conducted by an independent consultant) 93% of our clients rated us "excellent" or "very good". Reasons given were our responsiveness to customer needs, our expertise, our independence, and the high quality of our reports.
