What areas do feasibility studies cover?
We have done them for clients who are considering a cook-chill system, or are looking at their future food service and floor space needs, or want to know whether centralising kitchens is a good option for them.
What costs do you identify in a feasibility study?
It depends on the terms of reference, but normally we'd identify practical operating options then for each we'd define and cost capital equipment, estimate space and utilities requirements, calculate and cost staffing requirements to produce the menu for the projected volume of meals.
Equipment suppliers sometimes offer this service free, so why should we use an independent company that charges a fee?
The key word is "independent". Our advice is objective and unbiased and based wholly on your needs. We have no vested interest in supplying a particular system, model or brand.
What does it cost?
All our work is based on an hourly rate that is benchmarked to local rates. The longer a job takes, the more costly it is. A better question is "Are you good value?" - our clients think we are.
